Obituary

Michelle Marie Pascarella, 50, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away suddenly on January 6, 2020.  She was born Sept 20, 1969 at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi.  Michelle attended Perry Walker High School in New Orleans, Louisiana where she participated in the JROTC.  She earned a full academic scholarship to Ohio State University where she was a member of The Ohio State AFROTC Centurion Drill Team.  Michelle earned a Bachelor’s Degree in 1995.

She moved to Phoenix Arizona in 1997 where she worked at Protection One until finding her true calling at the Scottsdale Police Department, first as a dispatcher and later as a Supervisor of Police Communications Dispatch.  For over 20 years, Michelle dedicated herself to those who called for help on the worst day of their lives and the officers who went to help.

Michelle was a true friend and mentor and a dependable support to her family, friends, and colleagues. She was known for her bubbly personality, quick wit, sense of humor, and deep compassion for others.  She was a passionate animal advocate and gave a second chance to four Rottweilers, Buckeye, Sloopy, Scarlet, and Lucie.

Michelle, your presence will be deeply missed.  We hope heaven has stocked up on coffee, books, cross-stitch, and cases of diet Pepsi.  And secretly, God does favor The Ohio State Buckeyes over the Michigan Wolverines.

She is preceded in death by her father, Vincent Pascarella.  Michelle is survived by her mother, Barbara Rader, and stepfather, Charlie Rader, of New Orleans, Louisiana, Aunts Lisa Smith and Margaret Boyd and Uncle, Nate Boyd, all of Mississippi, Uncle Mike Pascarella of Syracuse, New York, Aunts Sandra Pascarella and Mary Pascarella Izzo of Scottsdale Arizona.  And numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by her Siamese twins, Kim James and Lori Burch of Columbus, Ohio and many dear friends and colleagues.

In lieu of flowers, Michelle would have loved for you to consider donating to a Rottweiler rescue group.  Michelle adopted her dogs from Rotten Rottie Rescue https://www.rottenrottie.com.  You can also donate to rescue in her honor wherever you live locally or any other dog rescue group.

Do not keep reading if your offended by cussing. This is Steve’s Blog post below with a small story about Michelle. Also don’t keep reading if your a grammar junkie…..

What can I really say about Michelle? The only way to start it would be the right way and that is with a few fucks in the writing. So here we fucking go!

Michelle was a great trainer, supervisor and friend when you just needed to bitch about something. She would always come and explain what I fucking did wrong. I put the picture of her here in the blog post because that is the fucking look that she had on her face most of the time with me up in the room, probably with some thought of “what the fuck is Steve doing now” hahaha….

I just want to tell this small story here. When I worked up in dispatch she was my supervisor at one point. This is when we had just gone to work in squads. I was on D Squad with her as the supervisor. We all had a few issues but lets just say that we alllllll cussed a lot. I mean fucking-a it was way to much for any one normal human out there to cuss this fucking much.

We decided to have a “swear jar” and put like a nickel or dime in every time we cussed. Now in the normal world it might not be appropriate to have a swear jar in the office or even cuss this much at work to have one. Well we did so get the fuck over it haha !!

There was one night that I had just got off the phone with this “very nice lady” I mean she was just a peach. So nice that I went up to Michelle at the supervisors desk, pulled out my wallet, put in $5 and said “THIS FUCKING BITCH” and vented for a few minutes. After all said and done Michelle said “are you done and do you have it out of your system” I said yes and went and continued to work.

That was the great thing about Michelle is she loved her job and she loved to be there in radio working or just being there. She will be greatly missed and I know that her spirit will be with us all. So when you smell the smoke and there is no one around that is just her saying “hey fucker, what you doing?”
